More Sex, Lies, and Videotape..

Well, the lies anyway. No sex or videotape.

In another stunning air-burst of stupidity, The Gold Showered One declares in a talk today that the recovery act worked or is working. But, for one, Allahpundit over at Hot Air! perforates that pretty pink balloon:

Oh, by the way: Not only is it entirely untrue that “every economist who’s looked at it said that the recovery [act] did its job,” but not even every Keynesian who’s looked at said it did its job. Click the image to watch.

Well, the Obama Fail Blog also chimes in with another chink in the armor for the Benighted One.

Now, it seems that the "D" word is being trotted out. Actually, that would be (in honor of the former Mrs War Planner's bra size) the "DD" word:

..and, no, that does not refer to Obama and Biden.

Sex, Lies, and Videotape..

My good friend -- and fellow blogger -- who kicked me out of the nest and told me to fend (well..blog) formyself), CJ over at The Illustrated Conservative, is doing a series on The Sex Poodle.

..so what do I do to repay him? Why sure, I rip off one of his posts. But, I think that this might turn out to be one of those great sidebar events, this Gore story. Seems that the Portland police are re-opening the case and Byron York over at the Washington Examiner has been doing yeoman duty reporting the steamy details:

Gore said he was tired from travel and described in detail the massage he wanted. It included work on the adductor muscles, which are on the inside of the thighs. "I mentally noted that a request for adductor work is a bit unusual," the masseuse told police, because it can be "a precursor to inappropriate behavior by a male client."

Gore also requested work on his abdomen. When that began, "He became somewhat vocal with muffled moans, etc.," the masseuse recounted. Gore then "demand[ed] that I go lower." When she remained focused on a "safe, nonsexual" area, Gore grew "angry, becoming verbally sharp and loud."

The masseuse asked Gore what he wanted. "He grabbed my right hand, shoved it down under the sheet to his pubic hair area, my fingers brushing against his penis," she recalled, "and said to me, 'There!' in a very sharp, loud, angry-sounding tone." When she pulled back, Gore "angrily raged" and "bellowed" at her.

..so it seems it this sordid episode is getting to be a real bodice ripper. But, as I said to CJ, I can go with the the DNA results and the key witness, but sitting though a video of that tub-of-go enviro-fraud lying on a table, mountains of quivering flesh undulating in the dim hotel-room light, getting his getting his nether regions jollied by a purveyor of outcall is a little too intense for me.

Another revoltin' development..

One more thing -- this one somewhat longer, so get a sammich and a beer -- that is particularly troubling. It's an interesting segment and made more interesting in the fact that Megan Kelley (intelligent, articulate, and an attorney) does the interview and dissects the facts very adroitly.

Delicious moments..

I am nto a low-tech guy. I am a software developer (for over 40 years), an amateur radio operator (almost 40 years, continuously licensed), build and operate my own radios, design and build my own antennas, etc., etc.

..o.k., you get the idea.

But one aspect of this new technological age I simply haven't plugged into is this raging obsession that people have with cell phones. Rather than launch into a screed about etiquette, obnoxious, inconsiderate usage, and sop on, I thought I'd just let the clip below say it all for me. Sorry for the commercial, but CBS's gotta pay Dan Rather's pension and lawsuit settlement.

"Back in the saddle again..

Old Sack-o-Crap's Rasmussen D. T. ratings plunged a couple of days ago, but he's back riding high once again ready to open his mouth and start flappin' them lips and again make a run at the 20s.

There's a theory that The Pantload's numbers get more favorable over the weekend because of all the blissed-out libs who stay home and try to recapture their memories of the 60s. After ingesting the pharmaceutical of choice, they mellow out when the Rasmussen rep calls.

"Obaba? Oh wow! Fer sure, dude! Like he's the coolest. Let me check with my main squeeze here a minnet."

"Hey, Moon Woman, is that hatchet-assed guy in D.C. cool or what?"

"Yeah, she's busy makin' some tie-dye jock straps for me, but she agrees. Peace out, bro."

Yarrow, Scabiosa Pods, Dahlias...These are a few of my favorite things.

I love the Farmers Market.
Unfortunately due to most of my weddings always landing on Saturdays, I can't go. :(
But if you truly want to see what flowers are in season,
the true seasonal flowers are always showcased there.
Most flowers you can get year round...if you are willing to pay a price that is.
But at the farmers market you can get a reasonably priced flowers without a badge, super fresh, and from a local farm. All pluses in my book.

This bouquet reminds me of a farmers market...I actually wish I could do a photo shoot there and am working on making that happen in the next 6 weeks.
This bouquet has dahlias, scabiosa pods, bunny tails, tulips, and yarrow.
This reminds me of Country Time Lemonade for some reason,
but who names their flowers that...right?

I made a little boutonniere( still can't spell that right on the first try) made out of a scabiosa pod, a fuzzy bunny tail(that's what I call it) and the white and yellow yarrow that makes me want to scream, it's so damn cute. I finished off the wrap with a little gold bouillion.

Blue and yellow together ROCK.

The bouquet can later be dropped into a tall container
and in the words of a wise sage named Emeril:
BAM!
its a friggin centerpiece.

This ceramic cream container I bought at Goodwill for $3.99. HOLLA!
I love a great deal almost as much as I love it when I get a bunch of roses and there are no duds....has this ever happened to you? You go home and open up the roses and 1 or 2 rose heads are broken...I hate that. So when nothing falls out I give my roses a pretend hi five for being good gals. : )

..another "Separated at Birth"..

Scooter does the great news stories and includes his own artwork. I heartily recommend you give a visit. What with Woodsterman and Scooter, there's a couple of arrows in your quiver guaranteed to keep up the laugh index.

Anyway, he did a piece tangentially relating to Elana Kagan and whipped up one of his masterpieces:

..which instantly reminded me of:

..neither one, of course, is as pulchritudinous as:

..nor as ugly as:

..as Kelsey Grammer said in Down Periscope, "God! I love this job!"

MRS. PEEL, WE'RE NOTED

Sophie Deveraux and Alec Hardison needed cover aliases in order to get inside the locked-down Wakefield Corporation. So they assumed the guises of auditing consultants Emily Peel and Jonathan Steed.

This leads to the supposition that they knew of top professional John Steed and Emma Peel, talented amateur, who are known to us via the classic British spy series 'The Avengers'.

And within the reality of Toobworld, this could happen. Mrs. Peel has been out of the "Circus" life for over over forty
years; Steed more than likely still keeps his hand in the game on a limited basis. But their exploits probably became known to the general public and eventually a movie was made about their spy careers. This would be the same badly-reviewed movie to be found in the real world, starring Ralph Fiennes and Uma Thurman.

A bad movie it may be, but it serves to nullify any Zonks when 'The Avengers' get cited on other TV shows.

AFRICAN ECHOES: WADATA DATA

Toobworld has gained a new African nation which won't be found on any Rand-McNally map of the real world.

Wadata is a West African nation currently led by President Simeon Moto and it is rich in oil and diamonds. It was the backdrop for one of the latest Boston-based schemes pulled off by the 'Leverage' team.

Wadata has never been invoked in any other TV series - so far as I know - so we can't make a link... as is. However, President Moto's evil brother seemed to infer it was a relatively new nation, which means it either was carved out of some pre-existing country as it broke free in a bid for independence, or it was originally known by some other name.

There are a few candidates for either of those options:

African East Victoria ("Mission: Impossible")
Bocamo ("Mission: Impossible")
Kembu ("Jake 2.0")
Ghalea ("Mission: Impossible")
Limbawe ("Airwolf")
N'Shoba ("Capitol")
The Nyamba Protectorate ("Danger Man")
Topango ("The Girl From U.N.C.L.E.")

Western Natumba/Natsumba ("The Man From U.N.C.L.E.")

Two countries that probably shouldn't be considered would be the Sahalese Republic and Equatorial Kundhu, both from 'The West Wing' which takes place in an alternate TV dimension.

Because the reporter who was in danger from Moto's brother worked for the West African News service, Western Natumba is a strong pozz'bility. However, I'm leaning towards one of the satellite states in the Nyamba Protectorate breaking free to be on its own. Mainly because I'm such a McGoohanite.

IT TOOK A CROOK

There's an episode of 'Hustle' which is entitled either "Whittaker Our Way Out" or "Ties That Bind Us". Either way it's about the team of grifters agreeing to help a fellow con man take down the bank that double-crossed his grandfather - one of the most famous con men of the 19th Century. Even as Mickey, Ash, Danny, Stacie, and Albert go along with the scheme, they already know that their "partner" will try to pull a con on them as well. He won't be able to stop himself, since the greatest con a con man can pull off is on another con man.

And who was their con man "partner"?

"There are a lot of different stories about what happened
to James Whittaker Wright after his adventures in the city.
I don’t really know that the truth is,
but I’d like to think that somewhere along the way,
he found his own little piece of grifting heaven
."
Albert Stroller
'Hustle'

And in a way, JW3 did find his piece of grifter heaven along the way, as he mentored Parker to be the best she could be as a thief. Only she knew him as Archie Leach; being the "innocent" that she is, Parker didn't know that the name of "Archie Leach" was an alias. Nor did she know its origin - as Cary Grant's real name. (All of this we learned in the 'Leverage' episode "The Inside Job".) Archie had to call in the 'Leverage' team to help him get Parker out of an ultra-secure building where she fell into the trap that was meant for him. At the end of the adventure as they hugged goodbye, Parker lifted his wallet - probably in an attempt to find out who he really was. But Archie Leach got it back before she could learn his true identity of James Whittaker Wright III.

And even that might have been an alias......

We just may yet get an unofficial third name for this one Toobworlder, and then a Richard Chamberlain character can get into the TV Crossover Hall of Fame on the Honors List....

I'm Too Old For This Shit

I guess it was just a matter of time. In fact, it's been so long that I can't actually remember the last time it happened. I was overdue. No...I'm not talking about being with a live, human, woman...I'm talking about the ol' high-speed cycling crash.

As far as crashes go, this one was a very manly, aggressive crash. Mongo's homie, Rahsaan Bahati, would be proud. I took a 90 degree left-hand turn at 24+ mph on a wide line that I don't usually take. Mongo was jockeying for position with the "Danimal" on the final turn of the Sprint at last night's 23/2300 Hammerfest when I took a chance on a dangerous move by going deep into the corner...bad idea!

Mongo went from "oh shit, this could get sketchy" to "why am I in a ditch and in a lot of pain?" in about one second. It was crazy...and over as soon as it started. Luckily, Mongo didn't take any of his boys down with him and my bike only has superficial damage.

My body, on the other hand, is jacked! Cuts, bruises, road rash, and muscle pain are all making their presence known. What sucks is that up to that point Mongo was having a good ride.

NOvember 2010

UPDATE: Drudge ran with a link to this story about how The Sack-of-Crap-in-Chief is attending meetings and is -- apparently -- still ducking issues at 70 days out:

In the wake of the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, President Obama today summoned a bipartisan group of over 20 senators to the White House to push for energy and climate change legislation.

But one thing the President did not want to talk about at the meeting was the BP disaster, a Republican source told ABC News. And that, the source said, led to a pointed exchange with GOP senator Lamar Alexander from Tennessee.

“The priority should be fixing the oil spill,” Alexander told the President, according to the source. “That's what any meeting about energy should be about.”

But when Alexander tried to interject the BP leak into the meeting, the source said, the President told the senator, “That’s just your talking point.”

Retorted Alexander, “No, it’s my opinion.”

The exchange illustrates the difficulty in getting any comprehensive energy and climate change bill passed by the Senate this year. Various proposals are floating around the Hill, but to date no bill has managed to gain enough support to get it past the 60-vote threshold. Republicans are adamantly against cap and trade proposals or any measure that puts a “price on carbon.”

This guy is a piece of work. The 800-pound gorilla in the room is defecating in the punch bowl and this guy has his head buried in the sand, said The War Planner, murdering metaphors.

I am getting the feeling that maybe this guy is not as stupid as he acts; he's just tone-deaf and has a set agenda. I guess this is how they do it in Chicago. You know, like the SCOTUS handing the Chicago handgun ban a stunning defeat and having that tool of a mayor proclaim that he was still going to pursue another handgun ban.

Oh, and as long as we're on the subject of Arizona, I think I have fallen in love. (But please do not tell Mrs War Planner!)

Mohawk Photographer Ben Powless: Inhumane Imprisonment at G20

Mohawk photographer Ben Powless, whose photos appear on Censored News, describes his imprisonment in Canada, as 900 people were jailed in inhumane conditions during the G20 in Toronto.
The Digital Journal reports:

Ben Powless, a First Nations environmental activist and student at Carleton University, talked about his experience when being arrested over the weekend where he said his treatment was horrid and the detention centre was less than adequate.
“I was one of the hundreds of people scooped up who were standing up for free speech and free assembly,” said Powless. “We suffered from one of the biggest mass arrests in history as we were arrested and witnessed police exercise media blackout so information couldn't get out as to what was happening to the arrestees.”
Powless continued that many people spent between 20 and 46 hours waiting to get out of prison, which were “completely unjust, completely arbitrary and punitive” against those who were presumed guilty instead of innocent.
The activist went onto state that when they were being arrested they were not being told why they were arrested or what they were being arrested for and were just grabbed by undercover police in unmarked cars.
“We were witness to one of the most disturbing detention systems, more of a resemblance to a prison camp, than I’ve ever heard of in Canadian society,” added Powelss. “They stole my bag, my wallet and my camera when I was in jail. When we were in jail, we were subject to 8X10 prison cells where many of 30-40 people were housed in cages. People had to go 12 hours without food and water and the only food we were provided with were food sandwiches, which many people were unable eat and going over 30 hours without any food at all.”
Many women, says Powless, were not given proper sanitary conditions, such as access to tampons and toilet paper. Powless added that police were making sexist disparaging remarks against women when they went to the washroom.
Similar to Canahan’s story, Powless states that people were forced to sleep on the concrete floor and were unable to sleep during their time in jail, “These conditions cannot be allowed to go under Canadian law and Canadian justice system and should be allowed to go free.”

Blackwater's New Afghan Border Patrol: The New Sugar Daddy

Blackwater has new names and a quarter billion from its current US sugar daddy

By Brenda Norrell
Censored News
http://www.bsnorrell.blogspot.com/

The Obama Administration has granted a quarter billion dollars in new contracts to Blackwater, whose operatives committed murder in Iraq. Blackwater renamed itself XE and is now also working under the names of US Training Center and Greystone LTD.

US Training Center is now recruiting online for military and law enforcement to serve as "mentors" to the Afghanistan Border Police, Afghan Police, Afghan Preventive Medicine and other positions, according to the XE website.

"We are seeking senior military and law enforcement professionals to provide individual mentoring services to the executive leadership of various government department heads of the Government of Afghanistan."

Along with mentor positions, XE is seeking contractors for hire as "Narcotics Interdiction Unit/ Operational Support Team Medic."

Jeremy Scahill exposes Blackwater's new contracts in the article, "Blackwater's New Sugar Daddy: The Obama Administration," in The Nation.

"Over the past two weeks, the Administration has awarded nearly a quarter billion dollars in new US government contracts to Blackwater to work for the State Department and CIA in Afghanistan and other hot zones globally," Scahill said.

Scahill names the lobbyist.

"No one is paying any attention to what should be a major part of the story of Blackwater's thriving second marriage to the current Administration: the money trail. Blackwater has spent heavily this year on lobbyists—particularly Democratic ones. In the first quarter of 2010, the company spent more than $500,000 for the services of Stuart Eizenstat, a well-connected Democratic lobbyist who served in the Clinton and Carter administrations. Eizenstat heads the international practice for the powerhouse law and lobbying firm Covington and Burling."

The London Guardian today reports the concern of Congress.

Congressman Jan Schakowsky said: "I'm mystified why any branch of the government would decide to hire Blackwater, such a repeat offender. We're talking about murder … a company with a horrible reputation that really jeopardises our mission in so many different ways."

XE's Greystone security company states it is located in Nairobi, Kenya, Abu Dhabi UAE, Bridgetown, Barbados and Moyock, North Carolina.

Scahill writes that Blackwater owners Erik Prince also owns a private intelligence company, Total Intelligence Solutions. Writing in the The Nation article, "Blackwater for Sale," Scahill said Greystone is an offshore mercenary operation. Prince also owns a construction company, Raven Development and Paravant, which has been used as a shell company to win training contracts in Afghanistan.

The murders committed by Blackwater were documented in Iraq. After Hurricane Katrina, the Bush Administration sent Blackwater into New Orleans.

THE VIEW OF SAN CORDOVA

Two weeks ago on 'Law & Order: Criminal Intent', we were introduced to Marta Caldera, the wife of New York State Senator Victor Caldera. Marta was also the daughter of former dictator General Omar Castillo. The name of his South American country is not given in the episode "True Legacy" and that's all for the good where Toobworld is concerned.

Toobworld Central can then make the claim that some other South American dictatorship seen on TV was the same country where General Castillo ruled. And I think a good choice would be San Cordova from the 'Mission: Impossible' episode "The Elixir". Reva Santel, the widow of the former leader, wanted to take over with her own dictatorship. And she would have succeeded if it hadn't been for those meddling IMF agents. Deputy Premier Tomas Avilla tried to hold free and open elections, and his plan may have worked - once the IMF made sure that Riva Santel's ambitions were thwarted. However, freedom and democracy were probably foreign concepts to the people of San Cordova, and so a man like General Castillo could easily have wrested control of the country for his own gains.

SODDIN' NANCY

Celeste Holm played Abigail Townsend in the sitcom 'Nancy', about the President's daughter falling in love and marrying a small-town veterinarian in Iowa. Ms. Townsend served as sort of a chief of staff for Nancy Smith and her ideas of what was best for the girl often clashed with Nancy's desires.

It's pozz'ble, just pozz'ble (as Mushrat would say), that Abigail Townsend could be related to rich private investigator Charlie Townsend - if he has a counterpart in the parallel world in which we'd find 'Nancy'. See, that show can't be in Earth Prime-Time because there was no President Smith in Toobworld. Toobworld has to follow the real world with the line of succession.

'Nancy' can't be placed in the 'West Wing' dimension either. Their POTUS collection diverges from ours probably right after Nixon (the last real President to be mentioned) although Ford, Carter, and Reagan might still have served. After that, they had Presidents D. Wire Newman, Owen Lassiter, and Jed Bartlet (with Glenallen Walker serving for a few days under the 25th Amendment.)

However, President Smith could easily fit into the same TV dimension in which we'd find the sitcoms 'Hail To The Chief', with President Julia Mansfield (played by Patty Duke), and 'Mr. President', with George C. Scott as President Samuel Arthur Tresch. Apparently that world wouldn't have had any of the same Presidents as the real world in the late 20th Century. And because 'Nancy' is also a sitcom, I think it would make for a good fit.

Two other shows might also fit into this TV dimension: 'Spin City', with its alternateevee Mayor of New York City, and 'Yes, Prime Minister' with a different leader of the British government than to be found in the real world. And its prequel of 'Yes, Minister' would also be included.

Tucson Peace Vigils: Drones, Depleted Uranium and Raytheon

Tucson Peace Vigils opposing use of drones and depleted uranium ammunition at Davis-Monthan Airforce Base and war profiteering by Raytheon

By Felice and Jack Cohen
Nuke Resister
nukeresister@igc.org

Please join us from 7:00-8:00 a.m. on the first Thursdays of April-November at Davis-Monthan AFB, and from 6:30-7:30 a.m. on the third Thursdays, April-November at Raytheon Missile Systems plant.
Please note that now the vigils are in the morning and not the afternoon for the hot part of the year.
1) First Thursday, July 1, from 7:00 - 8:00 a.m. at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Craycroft Road entrance (at Golf Links Road).
Why protest at Davis-Monthan AFB?
Air National Guard troops at Davis-Monthan AFB are deeply involved in the rapidly developing phenomena of robotic warfare, remotely piloting UAV's (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) that are firing Hellfire missiles and killing more civilians than targeted "terrorists" in Afghanistan, Iraq and Pakistan. Ground the Drones!
DEPLETED URANIUM:
A-10 warplanes that train out of Davis-Monthan AFB are responsible for the vast majority of radioactive ammunition - estimated at well over 400 tons - used in Iraq since 1991.
The Guardian newspaper in Britain recently reported on an Iraqi study that confirms Iraq is littered with high levels of nuclear and dioxin contamination, including depleted uranium, resulting in greater rates of cancer and birth defects near sites. See http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2010/jan/22/iraq-nuclear-contaminated-sites
And while the Pentagon continues to deny any risk from depleted uranium weapons and thus refuses to help Iraq locate and decontaminate affected areas, the International Coalition to Ban Uranium Weapons reported this winter that
"It has emerged that the United States is seeking alternatives to depleted uranium for the future development and production of medium calibre bullets for its armed forces..."
and that while the military procurement agency is
"not willing to single out a single reason for the policy change, [it] indicated that environmental considerations were a factor..."
See http://www.bandepleteduranium.org/en/a/307.html
Park at recreation field parking lot at N-W corner of Craycroft & Golf Links with access from Craycroft. Signs provided, or bring your own! More info: 323-8697.
2) Third Thursday, July 15, from 6:30 - 7:30 a.m. at Raytheon Missile Systems, Hermans Road entrance to the plant (3rd traffic light south of Valencia on Nogales Highway, the extension of South 6th Avenue).
Join the Raytheon Peacemakers as we demonstrate against war and those who profit from it. Survival demands better ideas, not better weapons.
Join us at Raytheon this Tax Day to say Tax dollars for schools, not missiles.
Raytheon Missile Systems is the most profitable division of the war profiteer. With its headquarters and largest factory in Tucson, Raytheon Missile Systems employs about 12,000 of our Southern Arizona friends and neighbors.
For more than a decade, Raytheon has hailed Tucson as the Missile Technology Capital of the World - a center for lethal innovation and cutting-edge killing for profit. From Standard Missiles to Star Wars "kill vehicles", Mavericks and AMRAAMs, microwave crowd control beams and pilotless drones, cluster bombs and cruise missiles - it's all made here, some even sold to friends and foes of friends alike.
We oppose the militarism that exploits this need, "developing" our own community at the expense of others around the world.

The Navajo Nation continues to have a Raytheon Missiles manufacturing plant on its commercial farm, Navajo Agricultural Products Industries, NAPI, south of Farmington. On NAPI land, where commercial food products are grown for major companies, NAPI has a Raytheon Missile plant.
This was one of the issues censored by Indian Country Today before I was terminated as a longtime staff reporter in 2006. Indian Country Today forbid me from writing about the Raytheon Missile factory on NAPI, even researching this, while NAPI was negotiating a food trade deal with Cuba. This was one of many issues censored.
Censored News was created as a result of this censorship. Today, Censored News maintains a boycott of Indian Country Today because of its longstanding violations of ethics.
ICT now engages in fraudulent journalism, practicing deception. Instead of sending news reporters out on news stories, armchair journalists plagiarize others work. They make a few phone calls, add a free photo and pretend they were there. Otherwise, they rewrite press releases and wire reports. As for the ICT reporters currently "covering" the Southwest, I haven't seen any of these reporters out on a news story in the past 28 years.
Raytheon continues as a war profiteer, producing weapons for profit to kill humanity, including Indigenous Peoples.
When Navajo Nation council delegates vote on continuing the Raytheon Missiles factory, where is the practice of the Navajo Beauty Way, the way of life of living in harmony with all Created things?

For the next 4 Fridays, our Tucson community will mobilize from 4 PM to 7 PM in front of the State building in Tucson, Arizona, to join with the hundreds of actions across the country demanding a repeal or nullification of this dangerous and racist law. From youth to labor to faith and community-based organizations, our commitment to social, economic, and political justice commands us to act in defiance of this and any other law that violates basic human rights. We act on the principle that if a law is unjust, our duty is RESISTANCE!
Our actions come from our acknowledgement that we are all one community and that our foremost responsibility is to care for one another. SB1070 is totally contrary to our basic duty to act to protect each another, and so we MUST resist any enforcement of this law.

¡YA BASTA!/ENOUGH!

TOOBWORLD REMEMBERS SENATOR BYRD

Senator Robert Byrd has passed away. He was the longest-serving senator in U.S. history.

Back in February, the "As Seen On TV" gallery featured Senator Byrd's likeness in Skitlandia as seen on 'Saturday Night Live".

BCnU......

Senate Slumberland..

Offerred by a Hot Air! commenter and by another post over at Hot Air! itself, it sure looks like the Dems are having a tough time staying awake

..if you ask me, it looks like Franken, Byrd, and Reid are all slumbering.

Something Blue...

Something Old
Something New
Something Borrowed,
Something Blue.

This one started with Mrs. M emailing me to see if I could help with flowers for her son and DIL (Daughter in Law...
I have a friend who reads my blog and always asks me what the heck MIL or FH mean exactly? )
Anyhow, she was going to host the wedding at her house and it was going to be blues whites and silver. The happy couple live out of state so the planning was a little tricky because of the time difference and we were swamped with events, weddings, the dress for the museum, ect. But we finally found something that worked.
Her bridal bouquet was a compose of dahlias, white lisianthus, roses and spray roses, lime cymbidiums, green and white hydrangea, snow on the mountain, and blue tweedia for that something blue accent.

The matching boutonniere( you know I always have to spell check boutonniere?)
was a single white avalanche rose with blue tweedia accent wrapped in white satin.

The bridesmaids bouquets pictured here are unwrapped since I was going to use some fabric from the dress that the bride provided for me once I got to the house.
The bridesmaids bouquets were white, blue, and green hydrangea, white roses, white lisianthus, lime cymbidiums, blue delphinium, and white spray roses.

When I arrived to the house Mrs. M had set up shop in her garage with the flowers for the tables, so I made self a little station. My portable workstation consisted of hasami's(Japanese shears) newspaper, and a towel.

Here they are with the fabric from the dress on the handles of the bouquet. The color is what I would call "Lake".

Mrs M decided she would make the reception flowers herself.
Now that's love right there because it's A LOT of work.
I mean the processing, the vases, the cutting, the foam, the cleaning, the design, the set up, ect.....and then you have to get dressed and get your nails/hands decent to shake hands and take pictures for the wedding that you are hosting in your house???

She's a rock star.

Check it out...she made blue hydrangea terrariums. A woman after my own heart.
Doctor by day; Florist by night.

She found a local grower to get her blue and white hydrangeas and she then picked out some amaranthus and kangaroo paws along with some phalaenopsis orchids.

Look at these colors! My camera could not capture the shocking blue of these gorgeous hydrangea heads.

Blue popcorn hydrangea in all its glory.

Look at the backyard...I only wish I could see it lit up at night.
The tent had hanging lanterns of all sizes that would make it look like mars at night under the moon. The weather was at 82 when I left so the night would be perfect for them.

Thanks for letting me be a part of your big day!
I wish you much love and success. : )
Mrs. M...if you ever want to make floral arrangements...you know who to call! ; P

{And they lived happily ever after...}
