Brides are calling up ready to tackle the new year!
I'm so happy that I get a chance to do what I love for a living. I am aware that not everyone can say that and I thank all the couples who let me do my thing and trust me with their big day. :)
**************
I received an email from a bride who is getting married this year across the Bay and her colors are pale yellow, cream, and orange.
So I started the usual process of asking for floral inspiration so I can see what kind of style and flowers we will be using and I thought I would share my process here. It's also easier to get all the pictures up in one place instead of sending multiple emails because g mail claims my files are too, big. Go figure.
She would like every other pew decorated and she sent me a similar picture like the one below that I previously blogged about last year. I absolutely love this! It's a compose of roses, stephanotis, rununculas, and dendrobium orchids.
Easy on the eyes~ Death on the wallet.
Eyeballing this I would estimate it would cost me about $75 to recreate this at wholesale price, so you know what the up charge must be right?? Secret*I'm whispering*The industry standard is charge 5 times what it costs you to make. SSHHHHHH!*
Jeez. The frugal mom in me thinks we can do this a better way.

So my bride( My Bay Bride) suggested we use ribbon to trail down to the floor so ribbon it will be! That saves a ton of money and now I just have to price white satin or a nice white acetate ribbon to span about 2-4 feet per pew.
Also in an effort to stay within budget I suggested that the pew bunches be reused at the reception so that they don't go to waste and so that you can also use them as your centerpeice to save on the budget as well. I collected these images to give me an idea of how many blooms it will take to make a nice pew decoration and also to fill a vase.
The flowers pictured below are premium Orchids, callas, cymbidiums, hydrangeas, amaranthus, and roses.
#1 looks to cost about $45, #2 looks about $20, and #3 looks like $50

So I'm thinking I'm going to combine the look of all three and make something that will look nice and full at church, but also nice and modest in a vase. I proposed we used these flowers for all the ceremony flowers and the pews.
Row 1: Yellow Gladiola, White Gladiola,White Larkspur, Yellow Amazone Alstromeria
Row2: White Lisianthus, Yellow Rununculas, Pale Yellow Lisianthus, White Dahlia
Row3: Yellow Statice, Yellow and White Stock, White Freesia
{Pictures from Fifty Flowers}
To decorate the head table I was thinking of of placing vases at the head table spread out and placing all the BM's and Bride's bouquets back in water on the table for display with small vases in between holding just simple rose heads. I found this picture online to illustrate but in my haste I forgot to note the site, so if this picture is yours, let me know so I can credit! :)

I am going to arrange the pew flowers in a way that will allow the flower bunches to simply be dropped into vases at the reception. These are from Savon Crafts but they can be purchased anywhere.
{here}
Finally the Bridesmaids bouquets.
They will either be Milva, Circus, or Bibi roses.
I posted on these for another bride so if you want to see a bunch of different variations on the orange rose you can go HERE.
This bouquet pictured here would be about the size of the MOH bouquet and the bride requested the BM's have smaller clutch bouquets of all roses.
That is what I have so far. If you have any suggestions or sites of gorgeous yellow weddings let me know! I love to be inspired :)
