Ready? Set? COMPETE!!

So yeah.
I have been trying to be lazy for the last two weeks. But this week I have got to get myself going.
What have I been up to?
Competition training!
I'm going to a national flower competition and I am going to compete in the bouquet, centerpiece, napkin ring, and sweetheart table arrangement categories.

So what's a girl to do?
Train!
I am going on behalf of CCSF and I was "sponsored" by The Garden Club of San Francisco and the Environmental Horticulture and Floristry Department at CCSF.
They gave me a scholarship so I can fly out to Missouri to compete. : )

So yesterday we practiced our Bouquets and today was our centerpiece.

Here's a shot of our designs, lined up to be "judged".

This is definitely a start. Some things I like, some things-not so much. Specifically, the flowers. But hey, when you are practicing and you don't know what type of flowers you are going to get on the day of the competition, why not practice with whatever you can get your hands on right?
riiiiiggghhhhttttt......
