And then... bleh.....

I watched Takers this weekend. Yes, I know I am behind the times. But it was on-demand and I had an infant boy sleeping on me, so I figured WTF. It was one in a long line of fairly cool action movies that had great potential, only to have things come to an unsatisfying conclusion.

As a quick aside, could this image be any more obviously photoshopped? How hard is it to get the fucking cast of a fucking movie to pose for marketing copy. Seriously. WTF.

Anyway, as I was saying, despite having the funk of Hayden Christensen, it was decent. Some cool scenes, some cool drama. Where things are going poorly and Paul Walker comes in like a bad mutha and totally fixes the situation with some bad-assery, that was really cool I thought.

But the plot threads just went all to shit at the end.

Then today, I am stuck with a baby sleeping on me again (notice a trend) and I flip on Get Carter (the new version with Stallone). Another movie that I actually really like for the most part, but the plot just falls to shit at the end (in a different way than Takers though).

So let me provide a little free advice to action movie directors everywhere. If you are going to have basically everyone die in the end, then this is how you end your movie. Watch and learn, you punks.
