Red Remover

One day I was diligently working on my speech when a friend of mine, Cody Pike, introduced me to an awesome Internet "flash" game called "Red Remover." Red Remover is a game that is very entertaining and easy to play. Your goal is to "remove" or make all of the red blocks fall without any of the green blocks falling. The blue blocks do not matter either way. In order to succeed in the more challenging levels you must make cunning plans and time everything perfectly. In conclusion, Red Remover is a game I would recommend to all of you. You can play it at http://exauge.com/games/play?id=17. Just remember not to play it at school because that is against school policy.

Lord of the Flies

Lord of the Flies is a book that Mrs. Cross's English II class is reading this semester. It was written by William "Crazy Bill" Golding in 1954. Despite what many of the English II students believe, it is not about cannibalism. When asked if Lord of the Flies was a good book, English II student Charlie Schultz nodded. Lord of the Flies particularly differs from other novels due to the interesting allegorical relationships and symbolism throughout the novel. For example, the conch symbolizes democracy and order. The book also does an excellent job of exemplifying the author's interpretation of human nature. Because of the book's popularity and success, it was twice adapted to film; once in 1963 and again in 1990.

Killzone 3

The latest addition to the Killzone series will be coming this month. Killzone is a PlayStation-exclusive title developed by Guerrilla Games based in Amsterdam. Killzone 3 boasts the best-looking graphics of any console game to date. The game is said to utilize almost all the hardware capability the PS3 has. Herman Hulst of Guerrilla Games said, "We're pushing 100% right now, you see there's steam coming out of the machine, almost." It is also PlayStation Move compatible and capable of stereoscopic 3D on supporting televisions. Killzone 3 is to be released on February 22. I advise those of you with a PlayStation 3 to give KZ3 a try.
