A Fun Shop Hop

Wasatch Front Shop Hop
June 15-18, 2011
Wednesday — Friday 10 am to 8 pm
Saturday 10 am to 6 pm

I just started but I am planning to hit all of the shops....
Some years I just go to the ones I like but this year I am going to
all of them.
I have hit 4 so far and I do have to say so far my favorite is
Quilter's Haven

This shop is a must (so far) to go too.
Their theme is "the Wizard of OZ  Treats are Ding Dongs (since the witch is dead)
And they even have Toto Patterns in cute baskets with fabric and batting too for sale....oh and for the pin cushion lovers they have a cute one with a red shoe and the filling.
It really makes a difference when they make such an effort to make it fun
and have unique things that the other shops aren't caring.
These girls really made a huge effort to get my business. And they did!
I did enjoy going to
Thimbles and Threads
The thing I really enjoyed about this shop was the going
down in the basement and seeing the demos. I think that was one of the best ideas to help sell
products and inform customer how to use those products...
I bought one of each!
Plus she had designers doing the demos and it was
so fun to see the designers too!
Today I will hit more but saving the rest for Saturday.

You Can Too!

I love Gooseberry Cookbooks!
And did you know when you enter
a recipe and it is chosen you get a
"free" cookbook as well as you are
in the book! I entered a recipe and
I am on page 185!! I was so excited!
Apple Breakfast Cobbler is the recipe
I entered. It was really fun to get the new
cookbook in the mail and see my recipe
in it. So if you have a good recipe you should
share it! There are also cookbooks for your
Kindle that are only 89 cents.

Best Wishes!

Doesn't Kate look beautiful!
Yes I watched the wedding and recorded it.
Had to do the recording since I kept falling asleep.
I did have tea while watching so I could fell a part of the whole thing.
It looked like England is the place to be today. Could you believe how many people were along the streets and at the parks. I was watching and wishing the minute
Prince William proposed to Kate I had bought a ticket to England.
I  can't imagine a better place to be today. It looks so fun!

Savannah!

I was watching "Midnight in The Garden of Good and Evil" and getting very home sick for Savannah Georgia. I love Savannah! I really think I am a southern girl at heart.

You can buy this statue for you Garden on River Street...
Just an FYI...

This is the "Olde Pink House" and its haunted...
as is most of Savannah. I think when I die if I haven't moved there before
Thats the place I am going.

Its so beautiful if you get to go there when the azaleas are in bloom.

Parks are everywhere and you really don't need a car if you stay downtown.

I could just move right in....
can't you just see me sipping tea on that porch!

I'd even be a nice neighbor and invite Paula over....
See I would fit right in.

Getting Ideas!

My Doll house arrived!
And I was a little over whelmed when I started read the directions on how to assemble it.
Well... I almost started to cry....there are a MILLION pieces....maybe even 2 MILLION...
and you have to do it the right order....oh my gosh....
My husband came to the rescue!!!! Yeah!!
What a great guy! I really am going to keep him!
So now that he will put it together....I am now thinking of how to decorate it.
So I picked up the above book.... so many cute ideas.....One of my girl friends told me there are miniature magazines ....hhuummm I am sure I need one of those too.
This is going to be so fun!
This book really does have some cute Ideas! And you can get it at amazon too!

I'm Blaming Cynthia!

I am always stopping by Cynthia's Blog
And looking at all of her cute miniatures...
And thinking wouldn't that be fun....
Well I stopped by one to many times...
The above is all her fault... I just had to order
my own house. Since I am a beginner I am starting small.
But isn't it the cutest house I could just move in.
Ok I bought the house and now I am on my way back over
to Cynthia's to see how to start....
Her blog should have a warning on it....
"Could cause Shopping"!
Oh and I forgot to mention....
She has an Etsy shop.....
Sssshhhhh don't tell my husband.

Will be Missed!

I was so sad to open my computer today and read of the passing of
Elizabeth Taylor
She was such an Icon. And will be always remembered not only
for the movies I grew up on but for all of her Charity work too.
And her many Marriages....LoL
I can remember my mother and aunts all wanting to look just like her.
And reading every word printed about her. It is so sad to watch an era end.
She will missed.

Our Best Bites Cookbook Review

I love this blog:
And when they posted they had a cookbook coming out I was over the moon. I was going to order it on line and I was in Costco and there it was. I ran to the check out to buy it. I am one of those weird people who loves to read cookbooks and I must say I LOVED reading this one!
It is a very nice book and the pictures are perfect. I love how it comes with a plastic bookmark that you can move to any page and its really cute. I would say I would try almost every recipe and I don't say that to often.
This is one you will want to add to your collection. I am so glad I did. And the one thing is a lot of the time I get excited to get someones book and when it comes there only a very few recipes I would make....well this isn't the case with this book.....I LOVE it!
You should run to Costco before they are gone... because then you will have to wait for the mail carrier and that is just was to long to wait.
