I am not a cat person at all. They sorta scare me. First of all, I don't understand them; their behavior is foreign to me. I won't go into all the other reasons, but suffice it to say that I am and always will be a dog person. MAYBE if I lived on a big farm, I'd entertain a barn cat or two. Maybe.
BUT, I do have a weak spot for little ceramic cats. I can't explain it. But over the past year I've snagged them whenever I see them. Here ares ome I picked up yesterday at Goodwill. They came in a bag with a bunch of other ceramic figurines. The cat in the cup is my favorite. And there's another cat, just like the one in the cup, who appears to have lost his cup. I've already found a teacup for him and will glue him on.
I feel a craft project coming on with these. I've always loved the pincushions that Elizabeth Holcombe makes. She uses a lot of vintage kitty ceramics. See her esty shop here. Scroll through them. One is more charming than the next. (Her blog is one of my favorites too!)
Here are some others that I scored last weekend at the Salvation Army (there are some cute puppies in the batch as well).
