Green Containers

I am playing around with ideas of having recyclable containers and/or biodegradable containers for some green weddings. I think that these containers using mache disposable urns covered with flax are a good idea. I made the design to cover up the container with New Zealand flax and then I stylized it by creating loops that drape the front. I tied the container off with bear grass loops in the front for some detail. I love to find little tricks in arrangements!

You can see how I curved my lines high to tie them into the vase and the forsythia is a gorgeous line that I was grateful to come across that is a perfect yellow blossom branch. They are tall and marvelous and the equivalent of a cherry blossom branch that are blooming like mad everywhere this time of year.

I used yellow daffodils, yellow tulips, luecadendron, flax, beargrass, and the forsythia.
