AS SEEN ON TV: FRANCIS SCOTT KEY

On this date in 1814, the British failed to capture Baltimore, Maryland, which proved to be the turning point in the War of 1812. Seeing how Fort McHenry survived the siege by the British during the night and fought them off to keep flying the American flag, Francis Scott Key wrote "The Star-Spangled Banner" to memorialize the event.

AS PLAYED BY:
Andy Wood

However, we might never have learned of the "poem", had young time traveller Jeffrey Jones not found the original copy in the streets of Baltimore after Key dropped it and returned it to its author..... BCnU!
