Jose Matus, director of the Indigenous Alliance without Borders, Alianza Indigena sin Fronteras, has been appointed to the Arizona State Advisory Committee to the US Commission on Civil Rights. Matus, Yaqui ceremonial leader, has spent the past 30 years escorting Yaqui ceremonial leaders from the villages in Mexico across the US/Mexico border to carry out ceremonies. In recent years, Matus has increasingly battled Homeland Security at the border, as the United States abuses Indigenous Peoples in their homelands. -- Censored News
