End of Snowpocalypse

Well, it has been a horrific week here in Atlanta. Snow fell on Sunday night and then cold air remained for several days, keeping everything frozen in a wintery embrace. Our city had virtually no resources to deal with these kinds of issues, so they were only able to clear major arteries. This left many, including myself, trapped in our homes just a few hundred meters from a road that was cleared.

Taking care of a 5 month old kid and a 2 year old is hard enough on a normal day. Add snow and trap someone for a week. Then tell them you expect them to log in during their handful of free moments to do their actual job from home. It is a bit of a harrowing ordeal.

Thankfully, it is all over now. I am down here watching the two screamers while my wife sleeps in. This deal has bought me several hours to write this afternoon.

After a week in icy hell, things are getting back to normal.
