I have had some unique ideas about skeletons for quite some time. They have typically been used as undead cannon fodder, just like zombies, and they inspire very little fear in the player when they appear. They are bland. So let's spice it up, shall we?
What if you take the standard skeleton and make the following adjustments:
1. Harden the bone to steel quality. Grants immunity to mundane weapons. High armor class too.
2. Never uses their own weapons, delights in parrying with their bare hands, grabbing opponent's weapons, and throwing them aside while laughing maniacally.
3. Claw attacks deal damage as if a large bear, maybe a grappling bonus too
4. No HP, only temp attribute damage per standard Errant rules, regenerates any attribute damage at 1 point per round, this you can literally see as the bone is knitting back together.
Pretty fearsome now, I would say. Might give someone pause.
