1) My oh my, how standards have changed over time. Holy hell.
2) This trend has occured in general across all films. It seems like we are moving from a very Superman-like vision of the world to a very Batman version of the world. Speaking of him, just look at the evolution of Batman and other super hero movies.
What do you think is driving this evolution in portrayal of the period, what does it say about how we understand the past today vs when Errol Flynn was Robin Hood, and where do you think this is going?
