Pieces of Eight: The Plan of Attack

Okay, so this is going to be the first game presented in Interactive style.

There are going to be 5 PDFs in the package.

1. Game Overview: All the credits for the game and a brief overview of how the game works (mainly telling you which of the other 4 PDFs to use at different times). Kind of a Readme file of sorts. This is the only file NOT in the Interactive style.

2. Pirate Builder: This is a file used to create new characters. Designed to be handed to someone before the game starts or when their pirate dies so they can whip up a character. This document should feel a lot like making a character in a CRPG.

3. A Pirate's Life: This is a file to be used during the game. The "main menu" so-to-speak will be a kind of outline of all the game concepts. So when the GM tells you that you are coming upon an enemy ship, you click on the button for ship stuff and you have all the rules right there at your fingertips. There will be several layers of nested information in these, along with various navigation buttons to easily move around as you wish.

4. The Charts: This file is the most similar to the Aqualii Temple scenario, only it is a map of the Caribbean. Click on Tortuga to see what you know about Tortuga, like clicking on a dungeon room in the demo. Available at all times to all players, it is a setting resource document of sorts. You are talking to an NPC and they mention something happening in Porto Bello, you click on Porto Bello to see what information you already know.

5. The Governor: The GM book on how to run the game.

Any thoughts on this organizational model?
