Roger the GS has a post up that discusses the Border House blog post regarding matriarchy which I talked about a short time ago on this blog as well. The question is, what would a real matriarchial society look like? Women would not be sexualizing themselves, men would not be running around with big swords (possible threats to the matriarchy, keep those boys in the kitchen), and so on.
I loved the Border House post because I am designing a female-dominant society for Novarium.
So the question I pose to you is this...
What would a medieval society in a fantasy world surrounded by monsters look like if all women were the rough equivilent of 1st level magic users in D&D (and no men could use magic) and there were some women who were the rough equivilent of even higher level magic users that had their own academies and social structures above society into which men could not enter?
I have my own ideas on this, but I am interested in your opinions too.
