Disneyland Weddings
Holy C^%$!
The happiest place on earth is also the most expensive place I have been to in a while!!!
So as I told you in an earlier post, we went to Aneheim for a tournament.
Well, we decided we would go to Downtoen Disney after the first day to get the girls out to do somethjing fun so they wouldn't be bored to death in their hotel rooms.
So off we go and low and behold we stumble upon a fairy tale wedding.
Enter paparazzi, namely, me. Had to take pictures of the flowers.....fresia, stephanotis, lily of the valley, english roses, white hydrangeas...this is no cheap carriage spray, they got the good stuff!
So okay, themed weddings?
I get it.
You love Disneyland?
Check.
You MUST have a wedding in front of the castle and then be whisked away in a horse and carriage.....hmmm, that's kind of cool.
But wow, when I got back to research the cost, it kind of blew my mind.
Apparently, you can get married and have anything your heart desires.
That is commensurate with your wallet of course. I then remembered I saw a real weddings type episode on TV while I was planning my own wedding and remembered they ended up spending like 250k. They had fireworks and had gotten married in front of the castle
(Which can be yours for a cool 110K)
So the minimum you can spend is about 8k and it goes up from there. But it's 8k plus tax and tip.
Not bad you say but I'm thinking they bump up the cost somehow, right? Well I guess this is just food? and the site fee is $1500. But what about cake?
and flowers?

and photog?

Ahhh...that's where all the in house vendors come in. You can't bring anyone from the outside in depending on where you chose to have your happily ever after.
I'm with Ten Thousand Only
I really was set on having a wedding that what fit that huge criteria(10k or bust) and you know what? People told me it would never happen but I did it. But looking back if I had the money would I do it?
Would I invest in lighting? That would have been my big splurge. That and a photobooth.
How I wanted those two things but I wasn't about to shell over $1700 on a few pin lights and $1200 on a photobooth. I just couldn't do it... we preferred to have wine and more people join us.
Anyhow...to the bride that wants to have Disney wedding, I say do it if you must!
I couldn't find much info on the Disney website, everything looks fabulous of course.....but no prices which is what I want to know. But then I came across this site that had a lot of good info on it. I think it's worth taking a look at if your are curious to know some ballpark figures.
The one thing I can tell you is that it's not as private as they want you to believe if they allow crazy people like me to gawk :(
