Atletico Madrid vs. Chelsea F.C.
It was a close game in Vincente Calderon, Spain yesterday. Chelsea traveled to the home of Atletico Madrid looking for a win but came up just short despite an amazing effort from one of their best strikers, Didier Drogba who scored twice in just 6 minutes, both in the last 8 minutes of the game, to give Chelsea the lead after being down 1 nil since the 66th minute from a goal by Sergio Aguero, who would also score later on to force the draw. Drogba scored first with a beautiful header sent in by Florent Malouda with a cross and later from a through ball by Ashley Cole, his first shot blocked but the knocking the ball home on his second. After what looked like a victory was suddenly changed as Aguero struck again in injury time with a 25 ft. free kick. Even though it wasn't a win for Chelsea, I'm still satisfied with how they played and even though after a 3 game suspension, Drogba still has what it takes to be one of the best strikers in the European leagues, especially Barclays Premier League where Chelsea sits atop the rankings. How bout them Blues.
