Here is a new dungeon design that I put together during the past couple days. I forgot to bring my memory stick to work one day and thus had to find something else to do during my lunch hour. Once it started coming together, it just kept coming along.
I am envisioning this place as three seperate but connected areas. The entire complex is a Dwarven ruin, but the secret doors are largely undisturbed and thus three different groups have occupied different parts of the structure without disturbing the others.
Some human brigands occupy the Redoubt. But they havent discovered the secret doors giving them access to the bridges nor have they realized that there is anything interesting beyond the first waterfall. Some nocturnal raiding creatures (hobgoblins perhaps?) occupy the Barracks. They can move in and out of the lower water regions at will, but they cannot open an unlocked stone door leading into the Keep, nor can they climb the double falls up to the middle area of the river. They have left the humans undisturbed on purpose and are staying hidden so that the brigands might soften any attempts to pacify the place. The upper regions are controlled by lizardfolk, whom the other two factions are unaware of but who are highly aware of them. They occupy the entire upper region and pose the strongest danger in the entire place.
Thoughts? Comments on the mapping style?
