Turkey Tourney

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving weekend! As many of you already know, during this Thanksgiving week St. Anthony hosted the boys basketball turkey tourney. The boys won the first game handily against Flora, but just barely gave up victory to Breese Central by only 3 points. Though, the basketball team proved their talent when they beat Effingham High by over 30 points, a team that had beat Breese Central previously that week. Because of the loss to Breese, the boys were not placed in the championship game. However, they did win the game for 3rd or 4th placing 3rd overall in the tournament! Great job! I also feel the need to mention the cheerleaders, because that's who I am representing. Though we suffered a few rough patches I think we still pulled it together somehow and looked like the best squad out there (even though Breese had some pretty talented cheerleaders). If you were not able to make it to any of these games I hope you attend some in the future and cheer on your school!
