Shattered Glass

I often feel like my mind is a cavernous space with millions of pieces of glass floating around. Each one hints at some broader picture, but I just don't seem to have time to explore them all. Memories, concepts, images, game ideas, music, video, etc. It is like I grab one piece of glass only to be distracted by the others swirling around me. These things have been on my mind for the past 24 hours or so.

- Synapse dice mechanics

- Errant racial descriptions

- Top Secret Project 1

- Top Secret Project 2

- Concept design for a new way of doing a campaign setting/modules

- The music for the freeway scene in Matrix Reloaded

- The idea of an NPC who is a healer but failed to save someone's loved one in their village. They live in shame, the other lives vindictively hating them. There is some story here, but I haven't decided fully on it yet.

- The opening sequence of Final Fantasy 8

- A medieval fantasy RPG party coming across an Ogre, dead, heavily chewed on, fresh....

- A gunfight between two acrobatic ninjas on top of a futuristic skyscraper

- Two old men arguing in a western saloon about which of them is responsible for losing a horse

- An expedition sailing across the sea coming across another boat full of decapitated bodies but with all the heads missing

- Annie Lenox's song "Walking on Broken Glass" (yes, related to the title of this post)

- The movie Cliffhanger, particularly the amusing relationship between the two primary villain characters but also the beauty of the Rockies, wondering if Qualen is perhaps the best villain name ever, and wondering why Rex Linn isnt a bigger star than he is because I think he is awesome.

- Realizing that while occuring in two totally different contexts, the Cliffhanger thoughts actually mesh with the NPC healer idea, because the main character in Cliffhanger has that same kind of guilty relationship with his partner.

- Realizing the above comment might mean that I am actually inside of a dream and someone is trying to Inception me! AHHHH!!!!
