Level Up: Adding Dark Horse Prestige Class

This blog is being reborn tonight. For a number of reasons.

I am at 80 followers now. That means I am a Maven. Now I have been a multi-class character for some time now; a Medieval/Universal/Sci-Fi/Political/Heist. But instead of taking the next level in any of those classes, I am going to be replacing all my classes going forward with the Dark Horse prestige class.

Rebirth has occured.

My previous setup of 5 blogs has been too cumbersome. It has forced me to post on one blog instead of the others for issues just related to gaming, not a specific game. Furthermore, it led some people to believe I had only made 1 game. It was a bad idea. And I learn from my mistakes. So in about 24 hours, those other blogs will be deleted. Everything is now coming home to roost on this blog. If you have links to those other blogs, please relink them here.

After learning about the whole OneBookShelf deal that I discussed earlier tonight, I had to run to the grocery store for some items. By myself. So I had some time to think. I had a lot of thoughts about marketing, most of which that I have discussed before on this blog or another, and I realized that I need to focus on reframing my brand identity going forward. I had talked about living out on the raggedy edge of the industry, I might as well spruce up the frontier while I am here.

So from now on, I am going to write under the label of Dark Horse Game Design.

The term Dark Horse is traditionally used to refer to an unknown quantity, an outlier, someone who comes up from behind with some amazing things unexpectedly. I think it fits what I am doing here rather well.

The next week and a half is going to see every single game that I have developed given a new version for final submission to the Ennies. I will be coming in at the wire. I hope to grab some nominations from underneath the noses of the industry. I hope to live up to the Dark Horse name.

So what can you expect in the coming months on this blog?

For starters, I am going to try to make at least 1 post a day, hopefully more. Thoughful, hard-hitting posts that really make you think. Or smile. Or steal for your campaign. Furthermore, I am going to be developing two campaign settings. One for Synapse and one for Errant. As I write these, I am going to be putting a large amount of content on the blog. I am going to be paying my Joesky back-taxes in full and then some.

So stick around.

If my calculations are correct, when this baby hits eighty-eight miles per hour... you're gonna see some serious shit.
