Is an integrated setting important for an RPG?
Lets use a sliding scale to discuss, with nothing at one end, grayhawk a little higher up (light, but there), then moving on through World of Darkness where there is a setting but lots of freedom and something like the Mountain Witch at the extreme end where the setting is truly fixed.
