The War on Plants

I waged a titanic struggle today against plant life. A portion of my yard was annoyingly overgrown and allowing bugs to infiltrate my house via branches and vines, thus avoiding the ground level bug killing zone provided by my exterminator man. So it was a necessary job and there was nobody but me to do it.

Most of it was sticker bushes, but also a few other random bushes, one dead tree that I hacked to bits, a big ass rhotodendron, and several long overhanging branches from a tree. My yard kinda looks like it got trimmed by a giant with a weed wacker. Unfortunately, it wasn't that simple for a normal sized monster like myself. My arms and legs are now covered in tiny cuts from those damn sticker bushes. And I am damn tired.

I actually used a hand saw for the first time in many years. It was the first time since moving into this house and with a fresh saw, who has now become a +1 intelligent weapon named Shortcut.

A fitting end for a wickedly bad week. Lets see what the dice yield this week.

ONWARD!

- FYI: It is actually quite hard to find a google image of a sticker bush. The search is hopelessly tainted with George Bush political stickers, both pro and con. You have to use quotes just to get a few results that match what you are looking for. Stupid google.
