TIDDLYWINKYDINKS: PLYMOUTH EXPRESS TIMELINE

We know when the 'Poirot' mystery known as "The Plymouth Express" takes place, thanks to a newspaper headline:
Sir Malcolm Campbell broke the land speed record before 7 am on Tuesday September 3, 1935, at the Bonneville Salt Flats, reaching a speed of 304 MPH. Therefore, since Hercule Poirot was looking at these newspapers the following day, the murder of the young woman aboard the Plymouth Express train happened on the same day.
