In some disturbing reports coming out of Texas, African-Americans (Negro/Colored/Black) players have been excluded from play in a big LAN party event organized to celebrate the launch of the new game Battlefield 3. From the FAQ on their website...
Are there other restrictions? Yes. Nothing ruins a good LAN party like uncomfortable guests or lots of tension, both of which can result from mixing racist & xenophobic gamers with Negro counterparts. Though we’ve done our best to avoid these situations in years past, we’ve certainly had our share of problems. As a result, we no longer allow colored folks to attend this event.
Holy shit! How is this possible in 2011? Have we not reached a point were people have moved past racism?
Oh wait, nevermind....
They only excluded women. Black MEN can play. I guess that is OK. Carry on folks, nothing to see here.
